@Ju87s Hey, I'm just throwing out ideas here.I'm open to more plausible explanations, but I'm going off of the fact that I've seen/heard this done in other videos. It may not make much sense,but no one has come up with a better explanation as to why this happens. or why it happens on certain subject matter.And more often than not, many of us find that truth is stranger than fiction. I would ask dh1186 where he got the videos in the first place. Cause if he doesn't have the originals...:-/

@capoeira360 but that doesn't really make sense. If they didn't want people to be able to hear the lecture, wouldn't it have been better to just not upload anything at all?

@Ju87s OR it could be someone who meant well,.. but doesn't know shit about sound editing. i think the first one sounds more reasonable though because I've seen it happen for other videos of our great black lecturers. I'll note some if i come across any, being that it's been awhile. Plus, WE don't own YT. We participate in it. Other youtubers that have posted many videos like this, have had there pages hacked, and videos erased more than once. these types of vids, are usual targets.

@Ju87s maybe not on the original recording. But it may have been added in by someone else. On some youtube videos, the sound may not be great enough quality to want to hear a lecture all the way through, and sometimes the sound drops out completely on vital parts of information. I'm sure the original recording of this file was probably clean, but it has been doctored since then. The doctored version is what WE are listening to. The background noise makes you want to leave the page

@Ju87s It's a distraction tactic. People do that kinda stuff to discourage people from listening. They use they tactic on several lectures by black scholars.
