Everything today is just computers and shit, yet here is just one man, one guitar, blowing my mind like a hurricane...

Who were those ignorant sods talking through that brilliant performance? Why were they not slung out?

Nice intro to help the reader jump into the clip. Great guitar improv in the middle and the wild "carry me home" at the end make this priceless. Quick plug for Richard's solo albums and his stuff with Linda: sometimes he's funny as hell, and he's nearly always a phenomenal songwriter. At first I kept going back to listening to his Sandy days, but I'm so glad I opened up to his other albums. He's as honest as country and English as hell. Always top-notch guitar work interwoven with his lyrics.

Yes, they are miraculous. Try 'A Sailor's Life'.

Was he in Fairport Convention? Are they any good?

Yes he was :D They are very good (especially live, they just don't tire out!) but I think many people would say they are very much of their time. Try their iconic album Liege and Lief if you're interested :~) Or for a rockier/bluesier kind of thing, check out What We Did On Our Holidays.
