This etude is not only a great teaching tool, it is a damn fine composition. I am very impressed.
It is sorta the Eagles meets the Allman Brothers.

Hey Dan, You have any tips for learning this piece, it's amazing! anyways, I'm sort of a half-beginner on the guitar but I'll take my time learning and would appreciate some good advice, thanks! - casper

Best thing I can tell you is to take it a phrase at a time. If it seems too difficult, work on other stuff and then come back to it. This one is aimed at more experienced players, though it can't hurt to at least have a go at it and see what its about. if you ever want feedback or live instruction, I do teach lessons via Skype.
