  • When ure importing to unity how u keep the textures on the house? plz answer ive looked everywhere!

  • @mette0005 I'm not sure I used to have the same problem. Just make sure you have a UVW Map modifier on your model and it should be fine. Also make sure you import new asset through Unity3d instead of pasting it in the file location like some do.

  • im trying to import an animtion from 3ds max to unity, i click include animations and bake animations but it doesnt work! HELP

  • @superroblox That's because Unity3d doesn't support the new version of Autodesk's fbx export. Scroll down to the very bottom of the export fbx options and switch the version to 2006 and if that doesn't work then switch it to the oldest year. The 2006 version always works for me though. Let me know if that helped.

  • @ImmortalKingAnmtn THANK YOU!!!!!!

  • @superroblox Your welcome, you can thank me be subscribing.

  • and instead of puttin' textures in Unity, you can set em up in 3D max, Unwrap them, Than go to "Render to Texture", apply the baked textures to your object, and than when exporting also check the "Embed Media". Now when you import into unity you have your object with the same textures as u had in max.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!! IT'S VERY VERY HELP ME :)

I knew how to do it,but i didn't know how to do it right.

  • nice bro thats the best i have seen in a while on youtube

  • I haven't tried any exporting yet, because im still busy modeling. Though it seems that a lot of ppl are having problems exporting from newer version of 3ds max. Is that still the case nowadays?

  • Once Unity is unable to export 3d data to other software, it's totally useless. Nobody will serioulsy use Unity's Physics for anything. Without a exporter, this engine just sucks.

  • man that was really really helpful.. but i hve a little trouble.. my GRID doesnt show in UNITY 3d.. can u help me dude... plss

  • I'm sorry, not object scale. Import scale.

  • During export dialog, set units to meters, and in Unity set scale to 1. And you'll get the same size, in meters, without scale.

  • @CravingGibbon Slight edit, I meant bump maps *blushes*

  • I see this question has been asked, but it's something I'm still struggling with.

I have made a well in 3DS Max, fully textured and such, but I'm really struggling with getting it into Unity with the textures intact... Do I have to import the textures seperately and then apply them in Unity?...
