I bought my kids each, their first mac recently and surprised them. This was their reaction.

the only thing is, when kids get macs, the really thing they only use on them is itunes, photo booth, and safari (or firefox).

Jesus Christ! Your kids sure are...spirited. TBH I'd probably react the same way if I'd get a new Macbook. You're good parents (and pretty rich too!).

Thanks for the feedback Cam6092. I gave them the macs 2 years ago, neither have been broken, and looking back one of the best investments I've ever made in them.

thats hilarious, poor kid does not even know what computer he has. Thats always a good sign when giving a small child a 1000+ dollar device. he cant even type, when he was at Google, he just pressed the same key as if he had never typed before. whatever.

well...6months later and the kid is typing away and is using aperture for his digital photography. It was well worth the $1000.

absolutely, the power of getting youth hooked up. They learn everything faster than us. Languages, games, Aperature, etc.
