Thank you, God, for my ham license and the wonderful hobby it. Thank you for not making me operate CB. I hope CB operators will some day discover the beauty of ham radio. I feel sorry for them..

Getting your ham license doesn't take away your CB priveledges. I am a ham and I still have a CB too. Hams can get a little snooty sometimes! CB is actually still pretty fun.

Ham operators(i.e. "radio techs") are the people CB operators bring their stuff to in order to get it fixed when it goes kaput, especially after they blow up an ICOM 706 MKIIG using it on 11m.

Because CB is pretty fun. Its pushing the limits. A CB is never supposed to go very far but hey here comes a chance to push it over the top! And its a thrill!

I plan to become a HAM operator but no way im ever leaving the CB bands for ever.
