If you watch this movie without the other Halloween movies in mind, it is a spooky film. Conal Cochran is a real villain......I would not want to get on his bad side...I own the DVD, good movie..

@TheGreaterGood80 I agree with you in many points; it is a great movie witha great plot, yet it shouldn't be named halloween if it isn't about the plot and/or continuing the plot from the original Halloween. If you put all the Halloween movies together (excluding 3rd) it has a good, understandable plot; the 3rd, on the other hand, is completly different and shouldn't be named Halloween.

Everybody hated this movie, and they wanted more Michael Myers. So then what? We got a bunch more boring and predictable slasher sequels. Halloween 3 was a WAY more interesting concept, especially how they fused sci fi technology with ancient sorcery. It also shed light on the Celtic origins of Halloween and was an effective critique on Reagan America's consumerism and corporatism during the 80's. Not a great movie, but a hell of a lot better than seeing Myers go after another group of teens.

Regardless of whether the film has michael meyers, its still fucking awesome.
