  • what train did this play as in Once Upon A Time in the West

  • @SRNJ102 The train can be seen passing through Flagstone station as Wobbles (who's being followed by Harmonica) crosses the tracks towards Morton's train.

  • Hallo, do said me where is the place.

  • The locomotive is in a public park in Los Barrios which is a few kilometers North of Algeciras. If you can find the bull ring of Los Barrios it is a short distance East. The road that runs past the park is Calle de las Rosas.

  • good job, i'm from Los Barrios, i always wondered in which films appear the train, now i know, thank you

  • Thanks for the message, do you have any idea why it was decided to put the train in Los Barrios? Is there a connection with the town?

  • @jtmellon The Bullet for the General locomotive has been restored to fully working order and is located at Guadix station.

  • thanks for uploading man

  • great bit of work gringo...a credit to you...any chance of some film locations of then and now with this steam train in...we live not far from GOR railway station PROVINCE OF GRANADA so this train must have passed through many a time...we know GUADIX STATION very well and have pondered on where this fine engine would have sat...thank you

  • Simply magnificent. Maybe one day it will come out of retirement and return to the rails and the big screen.

  • The whistle used in the Leone movies was a different pitch than in other westerns

  • For the technically minded this is known as a 'long-boiler' type: the firebox is placed behind the trailing driving wheel axle. Robert Stephenson's idea was to create a goods traffic locomotive with a small firebox that could run between passing loops, stop for a 'blow up' while other trains passed and then run to the next loop for another 'blow-up'. This suited certain traffic requirements very well. The loco is also fited with Stephenson's valve gear. An historically significant artefact!

  • If this locomotive could talk, it would have a few stories to tell. It's a railway and movie artifact. What type of locomotive is it and when was it built?

  • Great photograpy, editing, scoring and most of .... subjects
