How do you teach kids to get the ball out of the glove quickly. Whether it is a double play, relay, slow roller, or just a regular ground ball with a quick runner, being good at getting the ball out of the glove quickly is a valuble skill. Here's the hint...Don't catch the ball.

  • It is tough to transition the ball into your throwing hand without hitting the ball consistently down. It makes it easier for the bare hand to find the ball if it is always coming straight down out of the glove. This drill is to introduce the idea of getting the ball to go down, instead of out. Once the player can get the ball to go down, it's time to use the throwing hand.

  • thatsa load of crap a toddler could do that faster than u!!!!! thn u fatface

  • This is a great drill for advanced players. Most youth players need to learn to properly catch the ball with their glove before they can move on to this drill. Most have issues with turning the glove back toward their body. This guy has great hands. Great drill, but definitely for advanced players.
