@StriveForStrife and also watch la villa stangato ( or how ever you spell it) live at pinktop ( or some thing like that) and you'll see that alex can put just as much soul into his solos as jimi...

@StriveForStrife ya, i actually discovered some of Hendrix's other stuff like a month and a half ago and now i might have to agree with you...but Lifeson is Canadian which in my opinion makes him as equaly as good. :D

@guitarsbikesandpie I see what you're going for, being unpredictable etc. I love Rush, and I think Alex Lifeson is VERY underrated as a guitarist. This aside you can't call him the best guitarist out of this bunch. I personally hate guitar solos that consist of lots of notes in a very short period, so the speed guitarists do nothing for me, but you simply can't put aside the likes of Jimi Hendrix there. The man is a god.
