All yu haters: Look at the length of the fire coats and the quality f the video. I bet this was back in the 80's, maybe even the 70's. I see FF's frantically triaging to save the brother in imminent danger of death.
It was things like this that lead to the improvements in firefighting we have today.

I would love for you to find some 80s fire training manuals and see what these guys had to work with. I'd bet these guys are the generation of firefighter that instructed YOU when you were green.

Seriously man, just look at the video. It's clearly a VHS recording from a late 80s fire response.
Funny thing is these "dummies" were probably your graying instructors' peers in their hay-day, teaching what was learned the hard way. Do you honestly think the knowledge you have always existed? I'm sure every one of them would have loved to have the knowledge you do now.
Disparaging your predecessors for their ignorance only makes you appear weak and foolish.

what a cluster fuck of idiots,

The PPE back then looked horrendous, glad to be a firefighter with today's technology. I hope he came out okay after this.

It repulses me to see this disrespect. I understand that they happened to do things wrong, but everyone does things wrong at one point. Every person makes mistakes. I watched a video today, a man said "the day you stop learning is the day you should retire". I'm sure the guys on this department have stayed awake many hours thinking about what they did wrong, what they could have done better. No one wants to see anyone trapped in a building, they were running on adrenaline. Stop being so cocky.

I am not a Firefighter, but when i read other comments that are from brother firefighters that have nothing good to say about the event it hurts. you are the best at what you do and put your life on the line for us. If you where there then maybe you can comment, if not then shut the F UP.

It s the worst nightmare scenario for us firefighters....hope this brother had a good outcome

@FirstDue dont need facts just go to a fire scene and watch them and to bad i am not a buff
If you watch closely you can see he had to remove his scba to get out of the window.
