"Plaisir d'amour" (literally "The pleasure of love") is a classical French love song written in 1780 by Jean Paul Égide Martini (1741-1816). Montgomery Clift played the music on the piano and sang the song as well in The Heiress. The melody was used for the song "Can't Help Falling in Love", an Elvis Presley hit.

Pure kitch. Banal, mundane and theatrical. Shoddy arrangement and playing. A great melody is hereby butchered. . . . .

@tanadihensen73: André Rieu plays on his Stradivarius violin, made by an italian luthier Antonio Stradivari (1644 – 18 December 1737).
