Was my #1 show for years and it had been years since I'd seen the pilot. I'd forgotten so many things. Had especially forgotten how we joined the show midstream. That was a horrible way to start a show. Essentially, it was like we joined a romantic comedy mid 1st season. I know it was only one episode that was skipped but so much "happened" off screen. anyway, thanks so much for posting. I'm back in love with Stuckeyville.

So by all rights, Phil's second idea ever for Ed's ownership of the bowling alley was probably the best idea he ever came up with, and ended up making Ed a pretty penny.

He is, isn't he? I saw an interview with him where he said that the rule of comedy is to never make fun of someone less fortunate than yourself. (You can only pick on people who are better off.) There's so much exploitation in comedy that his perspective made me respect him. And he was the funnies on I Love the 80s/90s.
