This is an old tutorial. I need to update it. I try to model the amp just on the edge of breakup (no pun intended). You can also boost the amp into breakup also. But not much. I dont recall what I did here. I think it was probably too clean. I've upgraded my guitars and systems since this video. But, hey, had to start somewhere. I will update this at some point. Thx.

what tuning is this? I dont get, i followed the instruction with the third finger on the 12th fret but it sounds a bit too low.

hey, are you using a Blue Herdim pick? Held correctly or edge-backwards? I'm rying to get the strum right, and it's easier when holding it 'standard' (point on the strings), but doesn't sound as 'edgy'. thanks! great posts btw.

Yes, always using a blue Herdim. Funny, because I tried using it the regular way on a non-U2 song and I couldn't use it!! I'm so used to it the Edge way that I can't go back to the normal tip.
