This documentary by Bill White and Dr. Jo Anne Van Tilburg shows the Moai, the giant stone statues on Easter Island and the efforts being done to document and protect them. Dr. Van Tilburg is the founder and director of the Easter Island State Project (eisp.org). Van Tilburg and her volunteer team document and help protect the Moai. Van Tilburg has written several books about Easter Island, its people, and a biography of the first archaeologist on the island, Katherine Routledge. Sorry, but I don't believe these statues were man made. The time line Jo Anne gives does not correlate with the possibilities of structuring. Man may have assisted, but I believe a extra terrestrial being had a lot to do with the construction and placement of the statues. And if not, why in the world would the people of the tiny island all of a sudden decide to take on such a project and why did they chose to make them all have the same facial expressions?
