Just a little crappy video I made of my Iguanas. The first one you see is my Dwarf Honduran Spiny-tailed Iguana and the second one is my Black Spiny-tailed Iguana

  • do you still have ur iguana if so what did you keep ur humidity at and at full grown whats a good size tank to keep him in?

  • @lysis666 No, the Black died awhile back from what we think was compaction and the Dwarf died like 4 months afterward. She actually died in my hands, probably from old age because she was around average size, I was unsure of her age. I kept the humidity around 80% as well as I could. A 40gal tank is perfect for a dwarf for its entire life as they don't need much more room than that. But a full grown Black can reach around 4ft long so a very large enclosure, probably 6'hx2'dx4'w is best suited.

  • u should give em way bigger, tanks.

  • Well the video was taken not even a week after we got them and was then the male (Black) was put into a 100gal terrarium. He passed away about 2 weeks ago from we think either compaction or some stomach disease. We couldn't really identify what it was. The female is now alone in the 40 gallon terrarium and is really fine and wont need much bigger since she is almost full grown. Thanks for the comment. Also, the set-ups she has now and the Black did have was a lot better than the one in the video

  • Kool.

    How big do those get?

Dothey get as big as green iguanas?

  • The Honduran Dwarf will get around 18" long and the Black can reach around 48" or bigger... and No Giant Green Iguanas are called such because they are the longest species of Iguana. They can push over 62"

  • how long do they ?

  • oh cool... that sucks that he died....

  • Well , the Iguana I have is a female Honduran Dwarf Spiny. She was last measured at around 12" I believe they averagely get around 18" fully grown. There are many different species of Dwarfs that will be different sizes as well.
