Windows 7: Windows Explorer and Task Bar

This video shows off the new Windows Explorer and redesigned task bar of Windows 7 Beta.

I am a fan of the new task bar, and I believe that with a few modifications, it will be a suitable replacement for the current one.

hey what kind of computer are you running this on it seems very slow, and i heard windows 7 was extremely fast

It's actually running inside a virtual machine (VMWare Fusion) on a MacBook Pro 15", 4GB RAM, 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

I'm sure it would run far smoother if used outside of a virtual machine.

Windows 7 is a lot faster using Boot Camp under the machine.

sorry i don't think it is a good idea to upload videos to youtube of windows 7 running in a virtual machine with aero disabled. important ui features like taskbar preview, snap, aero peek etc. are not visible and the whole thing seems slower than windows 7 really is.
