When William C. Church and George W. Wingate founded the NRA in 1871, it wasn't to lobby against gun control and fight for the Second Amendment. Church, a former reporter for a newspaper not exactly known for its support of gun rights, the New York Times, said the goal was to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis."

Gun control is good? Yet its exactly what the south did to poor african americans.
The NRA was formed in the north. By a former union soldier and writer. It was formed because during the civil war soldiers did not know how to properly use their guns. It was founded in New York. Its eighth president was Ulysses S Grant. You know the same one who went after the KKK.
The KKK was formed in 1865 by former confederates. In Tennessee.

@JDAVIS4LIFE no you are just wrong. All the historical records show that there were more whites than blacks because very few whites could own slaves. and of those that did even fewer had more than just one or two. I have no idea where you get the "facts" that blacks outnumbered whites.
