Today I received a copyright strike on my account because of a DMCA claim by the National Football League for my video "Immaculate Reception in Slow Motion" at watch?v=zrPBG7XWcdU. I uploaded the video for critical, educational, and noncommercial purposes, and the video is transformative in nature because of my extensive commentary and alteration of the video speed to show the play in super slow motion. I will be filing a counternotification.

Saints won the 2007 superbowl? The COLTS won this game. The Saints didnt even play.
This was a legal challenge to the NFLs violation of copyright "protection"
"...over-broad copyright warnings violated Section 5 of the FTC Act by "misrepresenting consumers' rights to use copyrighted works and by threatening sanctions for lawful uses of those copyrighted works"

No accounts without the NFaiL's consent? Spoiler alert, Saints win.

Thanks. I knew it was the same guy who narrated NFL films.

Sounds like Earl Mann.

I'm trying to figure out who's voice that is during the copyright message. Anybody know?

Dear NFL:
I'm interested in purchasing a license authorizing me to tell my friends who won the Superbowl. How much will it cost me? Will it be per friend? And would I need a retroactive license just for acknowledging the Superbowl exists in this post?

This was posited by a professor as an example of "fair use" under copyright law.
