"3" The Band Promo Spot

"3" was formed in 2001 as a revolt against the tired-out music scene in Jacksonville. After many years of playing in other "bar bands" Eric Brigmond, Farris Nix and Craig Barnette were determined not to pound out another rendition of "Brown-Eyed Girl", but rather to focus on music which they liked and at the time was not often heard live. Later they were joined by guitarist extraordinaire Pete Winders. (So now 3 was 4 but they're still 3...confused yet?)

Since then, 3 has established themselves as a local favorite and their shows include a mix of rock, funk, ska, hip-hop and other styles. All four members are graduates of University of North Florida's Jazz program and use their schooling to put a unique twist on a wide variety of cover music, as well as their own original tunes. Eric, Pete and Craig are also members of surf-rocker Donavon Frankenreiter's band, and spend a great deal of time on the road yet still manage to keep a full schedule of local shows.
