The insanely brilliant 'betrayal' scene from Michael Mann's Manhunter. The use of The Prime Movers' 'Strong As I Am' complements the rhythm and tone perfectly.

  • Judging by the comments on here I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is by far the best out of the Lecter films. Both Cox and Noonan are amazing in this.

  • God the look on his face, brilliant acting.

  • i found this scene kind of sad...am i the only one?

  • Explaining why someones interpretation to a particular scene does not comply with the Standard=spending way too much time on wikipedia.

  • tooooo cheesy music

  • @HuDaFuK agreed without a doubt, not even just for the acting, but for Mann's revisionist direction. For me the films a testament to American filmmaking at it's best.

  • One of the best scenes ever!

  • People. Dollarhyde is a psychopath, he is envisioning them kissing when in reality the man just pulls something out of her hair. Mann couldn't have portrayed this scene any better, its self explanatory. Notice the halo effect.

  • You can't fuck with Francis Dollarhyde.

  • @LaStriata I'm certain it's Dollarhyde's hallucinations of jealousy. After all they didn't kiss, the co-worker was only reaching for something that had gotten into Reba's hair. All that touching was out of reality, and in the imagination of Dollarhyde. However, kudos to Michael Mann for creating that halo effect. I thought it was pretty gusty, definitely outside convention. It could have come out horribly/cheesy, but it ended up coming out beautifully, you really understand Dollaryhyde's pain.

  • FOH EVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! X-/

  • This is one of this best movies of all time and did not need to be remade. The remake sux in comparison.
