Not only that, just watch the episode where Archie and Mike are stuck in a room together. After you get the huge amount of character development there, you should have a better understanding of why Archie is the way he is.

@Songsmirth Get over yourself. This was very relavent in the 1970s when it aired and the whole point was to show how ridiculous that kind of prejudice really was. If you think Archie had no love for his family, watch the episode where Mike and Gloria moved to California and then watch the 1st episode of "Archie Bunker's Place" where Edith has died. And if this show stil bothers you so much what were you doing looking up AITF clips and watching them on YouTube?
