I just lost a beloved cousin......

'teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom' (psalm 90)

J.....you had a lion's heart and you were wise.....see you on the other side......

i'm dedicating this song to him and his family.....peace, healing and love to them.....

  • I can't tell, do you use a high or low G string? If it's low, is it wound?

  • Hi,

this is a baritone uke tuned, D,G, B, E, i've got a capo on second fret and yes, the 3rd and fourth strings are wound....

    hope this helps :)

  • Featured on Uke Hunt. Way to go Todd!

  • Thanks Mike,

that was a huge blessing to me.....very cool indeed!

  • todd: I notice that you use the capo very extensively. Is there are reason why you prefer doing this more than doing barred chords? I did a quicklist of all of your songs yesterday. Thanks for many good songs and frugal information. Where do you find music for the old folksongs. I like your UKULELE BREAK TIME sign. This is a very sweet sounding song. HumbleUker

  • hi HU,

    tried responding before...didnt' take?

re: songs....i'm a scavenger :) I surf itunes, go to the local library, used record stores, and learn them from other musicians....

re: capo....no real reason, I just find a key that fits my singing voice and if i have a particular chord pattern that I want to use open chords on....i'll use the capo

if i can help you in any other way, let me know :)

  • I was looking up this song so I could learn it. A friend asked me to play on harmonica at her funeral. I love your version of it on the Uke. Thanks so much for posting it. You are an inspiration.

  • nice song, and beautiful uke sound ... makes me want to get a baritone :)
