I manually took 653 pictures while riding my bike on the American River trail in Rancho Cordova over a 2-mile portion of the trail. These shots were then placed in sequence to form the following "video". I'm no photographer, but just a guy who loves biking and is experimenting with taking photos while on the road. This is my second "video" like this and I can only see my methodology evolving over time to capture some of the essence of the trails and how fun it is to bike.

If you have not had the pleasure of riding on the American River trails through Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, Folsom or other parts, I highly recommend them.

If you like the video, rate it. If you have any questions about how I did this, feel free to contact me via YouTube or email at ryan@lundquistcompany.com.

  • This is awesome, it's be fun on rainy days to ride an indoor bike to if you'd slow it down just a touch. Great job with the video your love of nature and biking really comes through front and center.

  • @bonnieblue716 Thanks so much. This was a fun experiement. I'd do some things a bit differently now (and some different tech would make a difference too). Biking is so fun and I need to get back out on the trails. It's been a while and I miss it. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Is this near Rio Americano High School?

  • @washinya1 No, it's the beginning of Hagan Park traveling east toward Folsom. Rio Americano is on the other side of the river and west of Rod Beaudry.

  • @washinya1 Well, I should say that it is a little less than two miles from the High School, so it is definitely close if that's what you were wondering.

  • the beginning part of the trail looks familiar, did you start at hagan park???

  • @natedawgninety4 You know the trails well. I did start at Hagan Park right where the dog park is now (though the dog park wasn't there when I shot these images).

    thanks!

  • @SaypheZonE Thanks so much. It's fun to experiment too and do something different. If there is no risk, there is little learning or reward. I appreciate your encouragement.
