Responsibility? -- What does it actually mean? Does it mean 'duty' or is it possible that it may mean 'response-ability', the ability to respond to the present moment authentic, immediate? -- Why not having a look what Osho has to say about this.

"Love is not a responsibility. Love is not a duty. Love is your joy. So out of your love do whatever you can do, but not out of your Christianity, not out of your ideology, not out of a sense of responsibility. Otherwise you will never be able to forgive your son, and neither your son will be able to forgive you ever. Duty is a four-letter dirty word. Never do anything for the sake of duty, because you are doing it reluctantly. And whomsoever you are doing, you are humiliating." --

  • Plain Truth

  • @GordonFr33man They probably chose to be there. If they follow, they chose to follow, because they found that what he expressed echoed in themselves. So no, they are not borrowing a belief, or blindly following a leader. If they follow, they follow their gut, their joy, their own experience, not the leader. And their behavior is their choice, plain and simple.

  • @drDENMIN LOL :D

  • why is osho being interviewed by super mario?

  • Great stuff. I absolutely love the reframe of responsibility being irresponsible. I get what he means about being yourself, but I think Gergen says it better about there not being a 'one self', only a mixture of masks we wear

  • I would have liked to hear his opinion on disadvantaged people other than children. Like people in need of medical attention, handicapped people. In Canada we provide free healthcare to people who need it. I wonder what he would think.

  • Children are made to follow. And if they don't follow they're disciplined. The indoctrination starts just after birth. Children don't have a choice most of the time, they must believe what their parents tell them to believe.

  • Wow, i wish i could have been there.

  • profound

  • Responsibilityssssssssssssssh

  • Wow, I am blown away. He is so right. We are living in a dead and withered garden because we haven't cared for our flowers.

  • ....mind...and thoughts from it.....will never understand Osho or any other Enlightened One....for the only real understanding....comes from the Heart....and nowhere else...!!
