  • I thought he said "burger bash. ..

  • It's gotta be "bash." That's my vote too.

  • Yikes I know GOD has a sense of humor but I find this rather disturbing for a Christian video and band. Is this song supposed to be about loving God and God loving us? Anyway Men in lipstick and smoking and MEN IN LIPSTICK puckering their lips? Let's show some respect for our Lord and Savior who payed a very high price for this love. Our GOD is HOLY HOLY HOLY and HE commands HOLINESS.

  • How does men in lipstick show disrespect to God? I don't understand your point.

notofthisworld5of5: You must not know who the Swirling Eddies are (were)...Daniel Amos, DA, Lost dogs...Terry Taylor. These guys like to think outside the box. They may be irreverent at times, but they sure love Christ. This song is about (gasp) loving another human being...which the Christian music world needs more of...it is a LOVE SONG! And about falling in love! The Swirling Eddies were an alter ego band...the were the silly side of their counterparts. And they rock so hard-core!

  • now that's a pity, you waste your pity on the saved. may G d reveal His Self to you in Jesus' name. Peace, in His love

  • @pazzensutra he did say Burger Bash. I have the cassette and the lyrics confirm it.

  • Dude, your "Lord and Savior" hung around with the same people you judge. Thank God religion is dead. When the judgmental religious Sanhedrin have been marginalized to the fringes of society, maybe someone may actually listen to Christ's words.

    Malachi 2:3

  • @notofthisworld5of5 Dude. You are precisely why most Christians no longer go to church. Your "Lord and Savior" hung around with the same people you judge. Thank God religion is dead. When the judgmental religious Sanhedrin have been marginalized to the fringes of society, maybe someone may actually listen to Christ's words.

    Malachi 2:3

  • @pazzensutra Yes. It's Hey Fellas, Let's have a burger bash!"

  • Between them, The Apolofetix, and Lost Dogs. . . . What else can I say. . . . . I have a joy in my heart when I hear them!

  • He did say burger bash. Swirling eddies thing is an eclectic joke.Taylor is all about going under different names , using a wide range of musical styles He is a character and a genius , many genius types are eclectic and Terry put out some strange things with Daniel Amos. Listen to fearful symmetry by Daniel Amos or A Briefing for the ascent.th this is just weird humor. Spittle and phlegm is a pun on rattle and hum , this vide is a pun on paranoimia by art of noise.

  • @notofthisworld5of5 There are people who only see God and see nothing else. Loving God is one of the utmost important things of course, as well as family, and happiness. You need to have a life to appreciate as well you need to have God, and if you can have a good time and enjoy little things that are fun as well as god, then all the best to you. Don't you think that God wants that for us? I think he does. And i truly hope you do to.

  • @notofthisworld5of5 "To Him who is holy.... all is holy". Sin is freely and willingly choosing to separate our selves from God. I find nothing wrong with this video. They are like children dressing up and being silly to make us laugh. Surely the make up n cigarette are for comic effect at how stupid adults are. Like they must be two of the dumbest ideas we ever had.I laughed my head off. great video, Great song. Praise God all you angels and saints. St alex

  • Thanks for the memories PrestyGomez!!

I know I may be late to this conversation, but I just discovered this posting...

Those of you speaking out against this video, you really should do some research into other Swirling Eddies material to get a feel for the band, and the context of the time from whence this came - late 80s/early 90s... I suggest, specifically, checking into the pop culture and other music and lyrics of the time, and more specifically, the music videos
