IMHO it's kind of a parody. The text is clearly saying that they are political 'left' , but they are serving all (or some) prejudices in this song. The last line is "Der Neider hat es schlecht gewusst.", it's pretty clear in my point of view. Just like the song "america", not only a few US-Americans think that this song is meant kind of positive. In the end, they are mocking the "american dream".
