Batonga is the first song I heard from her. Growing up in Haiti and listening to those songs!!!!....... Oh my god, you'll forget that you were Haitian, you'd think that you're in a village in Benin dancing,laughing and crying with your lost african brothers for that African blood in you will be flowing like a savage river in your veins and it will be hot even hotter than the carribean sun. I'm African but I don't know what she's saying, it's still a good song regardless. I've lived in America for 18 years maybe that's why.

She sang the song/notes 95% as good as it sounded on her mastered album. True elite African music ambassador indeed! These days African artistes wana rap with American accents and say bling bling when us Americans dont even give a shit about them lol

she is speaking yoruba which is a popular language in nigeria but some people also speak it in benin, angelique speaks it with a very strong accent though.
