Waste Deep - Muppet PSA

The Better World Society was an organization developed in the late 1980s by media mogul Ted Turner. The short-lived effort was launched with the intention of encouraging Hollywood to provide media with in-depth focus on environmental and social issues. Several celebrities who became involved in the effort included Jacques Cousteau, Barbara Streisand, Al Gore and Jim Henson.

In 1989, Kermit the Frog served as spokesfrog for the Better World Society. He appeared in two Public Service Announcements directed by Jim Henson in November of 1988, which aired the next year. This is the first of those ads entitled, "Waste Deep."
