Our second day of our foam machine testing. Some modifications since last week. Pretty happy with output but will be trying some other things next Sunday.

  • The fabric is some frost cloth from a hardware store not ideal as we have to double or triple it. For fluid we are just testing it will bubble bath.

  • ya for mine me and my buddies used an airmover from home depot, then cut a hole in it and hooked some hardpipe to a couple valves and then to a spray nozzle from a garden hose. for the screen i found a nylon mesh beach tote bag on the internet that worked pretty good. but the other guys right, you gotta have the screen a little far away from the sprayer.

  • Yeah that's what we plan to do next, just haven't had the time to work on it. I have a ring of sheet steel to extend the mesh out from the sprayers.

  • Yeah your dead right there is a bit of water and air being blown back the wrong way. Maybe we should extend the tunnel with a basket or similar like your plans, were just trying to avoid that if possible. We will get there in the end.

  • You guys are getting there. There is a lot more potential for foam though.

  • Yeah getting there haven't had much time to work on it lately. It's built of your plans.

  • Awesome machine. Could you guys post up a list of the materials you used? that would be really helpful

  • Ive made my own too, kinda looks the same. What type of fabric are you using for your screen, and what soap are you using for your fluid?

  • Thought so but wasn't sure. I would try getting the fabric a bit further away from the blower though as when I tried something like that a lot of water splashed back into the blower.

That fabric looks like it works pretty well but how much air is being blown back out the back of the blower?
