I've been running various blends in my '84 Benz for awhile now; the IP on this thing is a tough cookie! I have even had straight blends of WMO/ATF/Veg and a small amount of Kerosene in the winter run straight through the stock tank with no ill effects. If I ever do kill the pump I'm not too worried cause I have a $300 parts car same make and model with an almost brand new looking IP on it.
The centrifuge seems like the smartest way to go when you weigh out how much space it saves compared to all of those barrels, pumps, lines etc and looks like you are a bootlegger to the neighbors, then the time waiting for the oil to flow naturally would be like waiting for honey to seep through a coffee filter.
Once you make the pre mixed bioDiesel it removes the tedious task of "cleaning" the fuel avoiding the method of pouring water into your bioDiesel pre mixture
I too have been searching for ways to use an alternative to Diesel at the pump. I also get mixed reports. It seems the only way you can damage injectors is if the bioDiesel is not filtered or not filtered enough or if there is water in the bioDiesel. Water turns to steam in the injector and will blow out or ruin the injector. The water sensor in the bottom of your fuel filter is designed for Diesel fuel where water sinks to the bottom. In BioDiesel water rises & your sensor will not pick that up
I assume you have changed your motor oil by now but your Cummins takes almost 3 gallons of oil. Shell Rotella is a really good engine protector to enhance the life of the engine and Synthetic oil is superior to carbon based oil.
A magnetic oil plug is essential to engine life but I can't find one for the cummins so I duct taped a magnet to the oil filter for now. Remove the filter first then transfer the magnet to the new filter.
always skim off the top of a large settled drum has the crud will have gone to the bottom and better left in sun or heated area also a good feed heat source like a new egr valve water cooler.place your feed of fuel through rather than the water ebay for them. easy.also rotary pump best
I run my Dodge 1992 12 valve on Vegi miix with Tranny and Veg..Start it on Diesel and switch to Vegi Tranny about 75% veg 25% tranny.Works for me.If Ihave to do a rebuild O WELLL!!
I have seen people use old cooking grease like from McDonalds or something.. It smells like burgers but burns pretty good as long as you can filter it.
