We have one of those where I work. The last time we used it was during a flood to evacuate nursing homes. It is pretty neat, I believe you can order them anyway you want. We can "stack" patients three high along with walls. Every so many "beds" there is an area for a paramedic to sit. There is also a large area in the front that holds all the medications and supplies. Every "bed" has oxygen and a monitor. I have only been in ours for a short period of time, so can't explain everything it has.

Thanks for bringing some humor at the end to a very deep rabbit hole.

The vehicles were procured from American Bus Sales in Annapolis, Md., and interior conversions were completed by Sartin Services of Archdale, N.C.

how would you like to ride in that windowless boxcar to be gassed?....hardly patient friendly...
I did some research, these are brought to you by Homeland Security. They convert retired buses as in school / public transportation. they hold twenty people for quarantine The driver and patient area are separated. There are seven of them in the D.C area.
