In the summer of 2004, a documentary about traveling musicians on a train during the 60s was released. They called it "Festival Express." Director, Bob Smeaton, and sound engineer, Eddie Kramer, told us all about the making of the film as well as the sound production. This interview features clips from "Festival Express."

  • @aarfeld I was alive for all of that decade, also. Wasn't very old, though. I'll stick by all of what I posted earlier, but agree the 60's experience carried over into the early 70's

  • @YT28666: The summer of 1970 was actually the last summer of the '60s. You start counting a unit of ten at 1 and you end at 10, or 1961-1970 was the decade of the 1960s. Be that as it may, the '60s were so cool that they actually held the experience over through 1972. Believe me, I was there.

  • This was the summer of 1970, not the 60's. I have had the DVD for several years. There are some really great moments, but they could only use what footage there was and had survived. All in all, slightly disappointing compared to the hype promoting "Festival Express".

  • I think that there was something lke 33 hours worth of film made in total, most of which, obviously, has never been seen by the public. I'd love for them to release more of it. I'd particularly like to see the footage of Delaney & Bonnie.

  • Unforgettable !!!

  • oh fesitval express

  • Let's do it all over again! Where's that case of tequila?

  • one of the must under-rated film of its time, and even still at this time,,,,come on make another.
