  • @TheVladotron Far from it, I hate Youth Brass and their mentality that anything but first is failure and they will cheat to get there. However, I've got to accept that Youth Brass and Fountain in particular sounded incredible and that, in my opinion, he deserved the prize. Congratulations on your win, keep being humble about it...

  • @pilchard96 I have new for you. I won the best Soprano Player award last Sunday in Blackpool. Granted, I appreciate he is a brilliant player, but I can assume that you were not sitting there for every band. Even if you were, you were not the INDEPENDENT and IMPARTIAL adjudicator who listened to every band and made the decision that I was the best Soprano Player of the day, and not James. So please in the future, don't make biased snivelling comments because you favourite man did not win.

  • He was robbed of the Best Soprano prize at the Action Medical Youth Championships, and this is coming from someone who dislikes Youth Brass as a matter of principal, sublime playing.

  • my lovely step-brother does so well :) GO JAMES!!! :D

  • I always thought that I was a fair cornet player in my day, but this young man makes me feel like I was only playing at it. If he can play like this at 17 years old, what a massive talent he's going to be in the future. Well done James.

  • Very similar to Percy Code's cornet solo's Zanette and Zelda. Love eet..!

  • Like hearing Richard Marshall playing! Playing in Grimethorpe sure makes you a great player ^^
