Both my dogs love to chew on bones that I fill with peanut butter. My chihuahua Sadie has a small bone and my Boston Terrier Oscar has a big bone. Sadie always ends up with Oscar's bone even when I give them the right ones first. I always thought it was because she wanted the one that he had or because she could get the peanut butter more easily out of his. I also wondered how they could get the peanut butter out of the middle of the bone when both of their tongues are not that long.
I caught Sadie with his bone again and now know why she loves it. After she gets all the peanut butter her tongue can reach, she reaches inside with her paw to scoop out all the peanut butter from the middle of the bone. She's much smarter than I thought she was.
