@racquetballtim Thanks Tim! Do you currently give in-person lessons? Where are you located? For some reason I thought NV?

Tim, I gotta say, that is one hell of a shot!

Haha! Hey, i know how kids can be!
Awesome thanks! ill definitely try that out. thats such a simple approach, why didnt i think of that? i read about those drills in 'Racquetball: Steps to Success', but they dont really emulate in-game situations. I assume you gotta change the speed and height once i become more advance, right? Thanks again for helping me out! As well as anyone else who happens to catch your reply.

Hey Tim.... thanks for your videos. You're amazing. Your vids are especially great because you slow down your slots so we can see what's happening. Question: I'm just getting back into it and I got a pretty low-cost racquet... $40. Was that a mistake? Am I better off getting something much better, or is it more a case of it doesn't matter until I'm better? And if you think I should get something better, can you suggest one that's not crazy $. Thank you!

@chisaoboy Thanks very much. I don't necessarily think that buying a 40 dollar racquet is a mistake, but playing with a racket that you don't feel comfortable with definitely IS a mistake. Do you think it's too heavy or too light?
To me it's more about finding something that feels like it's an extension of your arm, with perfect balance and feel. You can find a racket like that for 40 bucks or for 200 bucks.
My suggestion: demo from a racket retailer. Try out a few of them and go from there.

You wouldnt happen to have to drill videos for taking balls off the back wall would you?

Sorry I don't at the moment. I've been planning on filming a bunch of different drills I've learned over the years and haven't gotten around to it yet. My 3 and 1 year olds keep me too busy. LOL.
I highly recommend hitting yourself ceiling balls down the line to both the forehand and backhand and work on taking the ball off the back wall. Start with hitting straight in passes, then cross courts and eventually pinches and splats. Video tape yourself to make sure your form is solid.
