We are riding Betty Robinsons mules author of "Horse Trails in Arkansas and Oklahoma". Her mules where the best! It was spring time and there are lots of water crossings.
Why did you let your mule eat on the trail? I don't let my rides eat.
I anticipate them even beginning to start to want to eat. And they can sense that I am about to begin to pull and they stop. It is all about communicating.
In the beginning, I might pull for real . . . but after a while, it is beginning of them moving their head to eat and my beginning to pull back on the reins.
hihihi i see mule eating when working :D

Minimum for a horse is 50m2. (Yes that's THE SMALLEST!)

Hey I'm from Arkansas!
We ride mules at Devil's Den. Lovely trails they have there.

Did you ride your mules at bar fifty ranch?
I went there for a summer camp and almost brought one of my mules with me.

I use the least amount of pressure possible.
