@Ozkarftw Emmit smith is not even close to being one of the best. Emmit was surrounded by all these stars. He had the best o-line in history . It took him 2 extra years to beat wp record. DA BEARS!!

Could you imagine how effective Brown would have been lined up at the tail in an I-formation. Back then the I-form hadn't come to the NFL yet, but alot of great backs dominated with it later. The I is perfect for a great back, it allows him to read blocks and make cutbacks while still going north. He gets a lead blocker and can still turn the corner at any moment. Brown averaged 5.2 ypc in an era that was still using stone age concepts.
