watching this video makes me want to punch into the faces of those people who try to flee of taxes, drive expensive car and live off food stamp!!!!!

Los Angeles has 90,000 homeless God is watching.....and Blessing tose who stand up and are counted

this is crazy. Have you even researched The Bridge? You obviously have NO idea what Dallas has done to help the homeless.

I live in Dallas as well.. Good video... the powers that be only want the outside to see the images that they portray
Dallas as, which in my opinion is a lackluster approach to show the real city itself... Show the southern sector next time though

people act like the homeless are not even human i hate that. They are human.

If you think Dallas is bad, you should see Las Vegas... you can't even go to the park by your self without being accompanied by a child, other wise you automatically considered a bum!

This is Dallas, which has been experiencing a massive housing/construction boom--driving up housing costs. Add this to recent increases in the costs of food and gas, and there you have it: an exponentially larger cost-of-living (coupled with a lack of affordable housing due in large part to the *kind* of housing under construction--townhomes, condominiums, etc). The result? The number of Dallas homeless has nearly doubled (before Laura Miller left office the number was approaching 10,000).

Don't mind these other comments. I live in Dallas, and I completely support what you've said here.
BTW, it's nearing 10,000 homeless now (according to a recent census).

Wonderful video jdluntjr! People like you are need to bring awareness to these causes and the fight for social justice. Don't mind the people who say that you are "making the city look bad." Those are the people whom turn a blind eye and wish the homeless away, but they are dense because this is something that can't be wished away. As for moopinator, he's just a typical American whom lives with the blinds over his eyes, has no street smarts and knows nothing about the dark parts of America.
Try living here and see how you feel about the homeless. Dallas has more than enough resources for these people. They live that way because they choose to.

moopinator,
What do you know about it. How much time do you spend with them. Have you checked out what "resources" are available. How long is the average person who experiences homelessness -homeless?
I get the distinct impression - you don't have a clue.

Meh... The problem can't be reduced like that... it's a bit more complex.
There *are* problems... but it's not all the city's fault, by any measure...

You're absolutely right. It's not all the city's fault. However, the city not only does very little to help, a lot of the time they just get in the way.
