Nirvana is innate, entirely natural, beautiful state of ease for the enlightened ones; for others it can appear to be a totally strange, unthinkable or awesome matter...
There are two types of Nirvana:
1) after full Enlightenment, no mental defilements, freedom from mental unsatisfactoriness;
2) Nirvana, when the fully Enlightened person dies ("Parinirvana") = no more mind, no more body.
This is the standpoint of the original Buddha's Teachings.

  • Thanks, very good! BUT I dont beleive in rebirth and not in nirvana. maybe we can transfer that idea to 21st century? also it would be better to free buddhism from the person buddha so that it can be developed further into a modern religion that contains the clear goal of freedom and happiness and is as free as possible from items that can only be beleived and not proven.

  • Thank you. I am glad that, in this modern world and modern way of life, that so easily changes everything from its original meaning to a convenient meaning, Ashin is reminding us of the Original Teachings. So badly needed and appreciated. _/\_

  • Thanks for great video! Greetings from Buddhists from Serbia.

  • @Saattya Sorry, I couldn't find the high res image they used in the video, but look up Bhavacakra.

  • The particular wheel of life being shown in this video is very nice. Do you have any info on it? Where did it come from, who made it and especially, is there a link where I can see a large high resolution .jpg? It is so nice, if there is any way someone could post a very large high-res version on the net I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for the nice video presentations on Dhamma.

  • Thank you.

  • wonderful, but then, you know that but thank you for sharing. May all beings be well this New Year
