The band probably took their name from Union Avenue where Sam Phillip's 'Sun Records' was based, Johnny Cash's first record label.

Union Avenue changed it's name to MLK, but not in Memphis. I'm guessing these guys got their name from Union Avenue in Memphis Tennessee. A very dangerous street at night.

Pretty good. I have one of their CDs. They do a great version of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here." I wish they would come to California. I'd like to see them and it would do them good to play some redneck bars in Bakersfield or Fresno.
