Academics and ESL
The university has 30 different undergraduate majors including business, economics, journalism, pre-med, and pre-law. We offer ESL, academic English programs, and conditional admittance for those who need to improve their English. Short term programs in ESL have been offered since 1954. Post-graduate programs include TESOL, Education, Clinical Psychology, and Theology.

Saint Michaels College is among the elite ranks of colleges and universities allowed to host a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. Newsweek magazine labeled the university a hidden treasure that deserves more national recognition. US News and World Report ranks Saint Michaels as a Tier 1 Liberal Arts College. It is ranked 104 in the nation.

Student Life
Saint Michael's offers a variety of living options for students including apartments, townhouses, dormitories, and suites. Students eat excellent food in one of our cafes or cafeterias. There are many clubs and activities to round-out the students development.

Athletics
Whether youre a top athlete or someone who just enjoys the game, our students have every opportunity to excel in a great variety of sports. We have great facilities on campus including a swimming pool, fitness centers, gymnasiums, climbing walls, and playing fields. We play team sports like hockey, soccer, and basketball, as well as individual sports like swimming, track-and-field, tennis, and golf. Saint Michaels students receive a free pass to downhill ski or snowboard at nearly by Smugglers Notch Ski Resort.

Performing and Visual Arts
Saint Michaels is home to a world-class art center that includes a theater, recital hall, practice space, and an art gallery. Programs are offered in such programs as drawing, painting, sculpture, acting, directing, music, print-making, stage craft, and cinematography. Our graduates go on to work in such fields as graphic design, fashion, theater, film, television, advertising, and, of course, art.

Location
Saint Michael's beautiful campus is located just moments from downtown Burlington, a great university town and the cultural center. Burlington was recently named the healthiest city in the United States by the US government. The state of Vermont is home to some of the best outdoor activities on the east coast of the United States, including skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, biking, and sailing. Saint Michaels is a two hour drive to Montreal, three hours to Boston, and a short flight to New York City.
