@KahnBB6 the metro twin is at the corner of Wicham and 192. You got food served to you during the movie. That is 1 thing I remember about it.

@sb57fury1 Yes, it certainly was although that was before my time. Palms 8 had an enormous parking lot that hinted at its drive-in roots. I believe Palms was a Cobb franchise. It was the only major theater in the area other than the Merritt Island AMC's until the Oaks 10 (now Premiere Theater 10) opened in 1986. There was also the Metro Twin but I don't ever remember it being a "first run" theater.

This is fucking huge compared to Huntsville, AL

Definitely not the smallest, and Melbourne Florida is the home of some of the greatest yet craziest people I know Including myself. Out of towners are quick to judge like most..but round here you're just another tourist...

Amen to that! It seems a lot of Northeasterners, particularly from the NYC metro area, who move here to Melbourne, FL complain about the shortcomings of this harbor town. If you do not like it, what the hell are you doing here? If you move back to where you came from, I do not think the rest of us remaining here will miss you. This goes for anyone who habitually complains about Melbourne being a boring town!!
