From their 1979 album Drums and Wires

Lyrics:

Clock in my head
Clock on the wall
And the two of them
Don't agree at all
Friday is heaven, Friday is heaven

Day in day out
Day in day out
Wish you were here
On the shop floor
And together we could
Count the dots on the wall
Friday is heaven, Friday is heaven

Day in day out
Day in day out
Friday is heaven [x2]
Day in day out
Day in day out

Brilliance. I love the 16th notes on rhythm guitar during the chorus!

Andy Partridge is Genius without peer- awesome transitions0 true art if it ever existed-- drums and wires it the best way to 'get into' XTC- really gives up the early raw XTC feeling- wonderful starting point

One of the best songs about work ever written... right up there with "16 Tons" in my book (then again, I've been an admin for 10+ years already... groan...)
