Finally, the quick and dirty review of this AWESOME and affordable compact pistol from Ruger. The SR9c shares many of its big brothers features, all GOOD! It comes with a 10 round flush magazine (with optional pinky extension) as well as a full size 17 round magazine with grip adapter. Fully adjustable sights, accessory rail, and thumb safety make this a major contender in the concealed hand gun market.

I enjoyed the video. I own an sr9c and agree with the all around performnance of the gun. Espceically for the price. I've put about 500 to 600 through it and not one problem. What holster do you use or recommend to include mag holder?

@SitraLLC I don't use a mag holster, but for IWB I use Kholster. Great value compared to Crossbreed or Comptac.

i used to have an sr9c but i traded it and now i regret it. its an awesome pistol. it shot great and i never had a malfunction. i think what you were referring to about the longer magazine is the extended grip sleeve that gives it a full size grip.

Picked one up today, first handgun ive owned. Looks great but it definitely needs to be broken in. Magazines are stiff as hell like you said. Cant wait to take it to the range.

Really liked the video, and totally get the stiffness on the gun when it's new.

I've had mine for a year now, and yes, that slide lock does get way easier over time. I'm an older lady, so the hands aren't quite as strong as they used to be. I also use an uplula, as I cannot load without it....

Anyway, been a shooter most of my life, but this was my first handgun, and my first 'on my own' buy, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

i just picked one up and i have always been a compact 1911 guy. just like steel i guess. however best compact gun i have ever owned. thanks for the vid. you should make a detail strip vid as it took me 30 mins to tare down the striker system. not like a 1911 at all. i think that would be helpful. not a field strip but full. i may post one now that ive figuared it out. anyway thanks
