First try at an HD upload - so use the 'Watch In HD' option below right of video for best quality.

Actually it's not true HD as I just upscaled it to trick Youtube into giving the better quality option - next one will be true HD!

  • Serendipity. I just stumbled across this lesson. Very good intro. Thanks from across the pond.

  • Many thanks from this side of the pond...

  • A Great one to, play at the party... alot of screams !!! ( even, from those ,"gay" Queen haters ....

  • It always goes down well at our gigs!

  • Flawless. As close as one can get to Brian May without being him.

  • Wow, thanks!

  • what if you made a lesson in 3d vision it will be awesome!

  • One of the first tunes I ever learnt!! yep, I picked up a guitar because of Queen when I was alot younger!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Thank you so much! You helped me a lot with this vid :).

  • 3 people can't play guitar

  • @megamania500 i find it hard to remember all the notes and where they are

  • @megamania500 well i havent been able to pick up my guitar in all that time because i had college comitments, but im finished now.

i have a brian may red special and im left handed.

i was just trying to follow the steps in the video and it seemed the 3 with a arch thing looks like you kinda touch it slightly but not sure,

im a apsolute beginner and im trying to get my head around the strings you strike vs which strings you hold down,

  • @kaleluk31 Since I haven't seen anyone else reply, and even tho your post is 6 months old, I thought I'd reply. You don't necessarily have to just hit the strings that are in the chord. You can hit more strings but you have to mute the other strings in some way. You can use part of your picking hand, or you can use your fretting hand. If you have strings that you don't want to sound next to strings that you do, lay your fretting finger on those. It will come to you thru practice and experiment.
