yeah your right its the most dangerous place to be! I remember that tornado very well because I am from Wichita and the ditch would be the safest but they had no other options the people that chased it had no other choice but to go up in over pass! If you watch a segment of where they got chased you can see a car get tossed about 100 yrds away

Now I see why an overpass isn't safe: The vortex hit the embankment off-center of the people underneath the overpass. Surface winds are at their highest near the vortex as they meet up with it and ascend into the cloud. Of course, they'd only go so far up and be dropped on whatever, likely with fatal results. Hell, the debris alone could kill...
