Response to the vlogbrothers "Evil Baby Orphanage" questions.. What is evil? Personally I'd say alarm clocks and paperclips, but thats just me.

I think the objective term that is misleading is "gain"

I think in the sense Of the "because I'm Evil" Villains Their "gain" is an emotional one, an adrenaline rush per say -- Adrenaline Junkies

I belive Satan and Hitler are both "evil" if not then, bad people.. Well Hitler was. Satan's not a person.. Er, anyway, they both did/do bad things for a reason that isn't good for anyone. Honestly, what Hitler did wasn't even good for himself!

Oh dang, I can't even think of anyone right at this moment (but I'm sure as soon as I log off I'll think of a dozen stupid villains) but anyway, this reminded me of how old I felt when a friend told me her brother had no recollection of watching Captain Planet as a kid. There are now generations growing up without Captain Planet. So wrong. Oooh, I'm going to say that the person responsible for cancelling Captain Planet was a dumb villain; without that show, everyone suffers.

Oooh, I have the same definition of evil! And I don't think that Hitler or Stalin or even Voldemort are technically "evil". Blasphemy, I know.

@whizzywantstowrite I don't think that George Washington was evil... That is, even though slaves were for personal gain, the prejudices of the time didn't recognize that it was intrinsically wrong. Like how people today usually don't think about the slaves making their clothes or the animals that are their food... But I won't get into that.

George Washington: leader of the American Revolution. AND APPARENTLY THE CAUSE OF SLAVERY UP UNTIL THE CIVIL WAR! hahaha oh John and Hank. Also, another reason that Voldemort belongs in the E.B.O. (aside from being....you know, evil, and having been raised in an orphanage): UNICORNS. If you are in favor of unicorns, you are DIRECTLY promoting Lord Voldemort. Also, what do YOU think of lab-grown meat? I think it sounds pretty gross.

Dumbest villains I can think of right now are the Class of 2011 Seniors from my school. For senior prank, they decided to chop down the trees out on the quad area of our school. Really no personal gain in that, just plain stupid. And as a prank? Not even relatively funny.
