@malave31 I don't usually fight or advocate fighting with the sword over the shoulder myself, that is mostly used as a way to begin learning the technique. There are plenty of ways to use the principle of leading with the elbow and deliver the shotelsewhere, even when it starts out like an onside snap. And if you can deliver an onside snap fast enough, and with perfect timing, "choreography," as you put it, does not mater, and if delivered properly, there is no issue of lack of power..
