SNOWBOARDING ON GIANT SAND DUNES, NAMIBIA

Namibia 2005. having great fun learning to snowboard for the very first time...(on snow or sand)..so pleased i did not just fall over straight away. Temperature was 40 deg C, fortunately it is zero humidity, so as long as we kept drinking we could keep climbing the 800feet back up the giant sand dune, for yet another ride. tried lying flat on hardboard - very fast see another video by bishbash63

For us at the time, we were just using standard ordinary snowboards to move on a very big sand dune. Never used one on snow yet ! Check out the other video of me lying on a 3 feet by 2 feet piece of hardboard going very fast straight down the other side of the dune. The local people in Namibia called that sandboarding! i dont mind what you call it, it was just great fun to do with some great people. Life is too short to worry about these things when you are living with a brain tumour like i am.
